Debbie Drinkard Grovum is a counselor and Board Certified Coach trained in life, career and retirement coaching. She is also a certified
Global Career Development Facilitator and Adult Career Pathways Leader.
A Faculty Counselor Emeritus with more than thirty years of experience, she has helped adults make positive life transitions, identify
career pathways, and set and achieve goals. At the college, she created and directed the Transition Institute which provided resources
and services to mid-career adults and employers in the areas of life/career planning, education and employment.
She was trained by and affiliated with the Purpose Project, a joint project of the University of Minnesota, Center for Spirituality and
Healing and Richard Leider of the Inventure Group. Debbie was a site facilitator for ALVA, the Vital Aging Network's leadership development
program for experienced adults.
As a featured blogger for
RetireUSA.net, she writes semi-monthly blogs about retirement lifestyle issues.
At the national, state, and local levels she has been a speaker addressing topics related to vibrant aging, living and working with purpose,
creating a beautiful life and thriving in transition. She teaches classes and workshops on topics such as retirement planning, living with
purpose, positive aging, encore careers, and generations working together.
Debbie has a BA from the University of South Florida and master's degrees from the University of Memphis and Bemidji State University.
